Die Optik zeigt ein klares rötlich-kupferfarbenes Bier mit wenig feiner bis mittelgrober Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone gibt sich stabil und sehr langlebig. Die süßlich-fruchtig-herbe Aromatik macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Noten von Beeren, einer leichten exotik und frischer Grasigkeit. Hintergründig lässt sich sogar eine leicht süßliche Malzaromatik wahrnehmen. Im Antrunk frisch und sanft rezent mit einer angenehmen Herbe. Am Gaumen überaus angenehm - kräftig, aber passend aromatisch herb. Sehr röstig/karamellig mit reifen Beerennoten. Das Gesamtbild ist absolut rund und wirkt sehr ausgewogen - auch wenn der Körper nicht sonderlich dicht scheint. Aufgrund der deutlichen Herbe und der merkbaren Rezenz ergibt sich ein mäßiges bis gutes Mundgefühl und eine ebensolche Süffigkeit. Im Nachtrunk geben sich die Aromen noch lange die Ehre. Erst röstig-herb, danach kurz fruchtig, dann wieder reicht süßlich-röstig und sehr spät wirkt eine zarte aromatische Herbe. Fazit: Ein durchaus tolles Bier!

33 cl can. Clear amber colour with a creamy dense off-white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, caramel malts and a toasted note. Taste is bitter. Medium bodied. Dry and bitter finish with citrus fruit and caramel malts. Very tasty and fresh, could easily flush down a lot of these.

Rötlich bräunliche Farbe mit grobporiger weißer Schaumkrone. Röstmalziger, hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig, etwas Toffee, hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Pours a clear Brown (rather than amber or red) colour and a dense beige head with good retention. Aroma's of hops and roasted malts. Retronasal it's roasted, rye bread, hoppy and a little bit fruity. Flavour is light moderate sweet, rooster, rye bread. Light bodied. Roasty bitterish finish.

Cask at Hogshead, Wolverhampton Pours a rich reddish brown with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly caramel which is also true of the flavour in the mouth. Along with malt and some citrus with hints of toffee and spice. The finish is partly mango sweet, but also bitter. A well balanced beer that packs a punch.
