Cask @ Smithfield Tavern, Manchester. Black with a thick creamy-frothy head. Has mildly milky, mildish dark malts throughout its character. Its strength is not overly evident to begin with, but does come through after a while. Roasted malts can be found here.

Keg at Brewdog clerkenwell. As chocolate ale and tonka bean imperial porter, 8.5%. Aroma is chocolate orange, spicy chai tea, solvent alcohol, toasted coconut. Opaque black / dark brown coloured pour with a thin mid tan head. Flavour is composed of smooth chocolate malts, toasted coconuts, desecrated coconut. Hint if orange rind. Some warming / hot alcohol in the finish. Served way too cold. Palate is medium full, velvety, smooth, moderate carbonation. Good stuff.

24.10.2015, tap @ What’s Brewing:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of neutral, grass, dark roasted grain, minerals, weeds, sour coffee, burnt caramel, hints of unripe banana. Taste is slightly harsh mineraly, weeds, roasted grain, minerals, alcohol, burnt caramel, bark, hay, sour coffee. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry and slightly harsh mouthfeel. Boring.
