Draught @ the brewpub, San Diego. Aroma has deep roasted tones, licorice and toffee. Flavour has ash, toffee, licorice and mild coffee notes. Dry finish. Good.

Draught @ Bay City Brewing Co, San Diego, CA.
Pours pitch black with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, chocolate and hints of licorice. Taste is sweetish, smooth and slightly roasty with hints of coffee and chocolate. Finish is sweetish and slightly roasty with some coffee. Okay.
