Cask-conditioned at the Cornubia, Bristol 27/1/2022. Dark brown in colour, with a slight, beige, head. Aroma of fudge dark chocolate and bread malts. Flavour had plenty more sweetness, with chocolate and fudge, toasted malts and a rich fondant, finish. Good.

A lovely milk stout, pours dark brown, near black with a creamy off-white head and a fabulous milk chocolate aroma. Velvety smooth and creamy with roasted malt and chocolate vying for attention, and a subtle bitter finish

Cask at Flowerpot, Derby Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small cream head. Has a vague aroma of chocolate. In the mouth the texture is a bit watery, but there is plenty of flavour. Mainly fudge and dark chocolate with dark fruits underneath, and traces of vanilla. Finish is yet more chocolate. Very nice, but a bit too much emphasis on chocolate for me.

Cask at the Waggon & Horses, Stourbridge. Pours very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is fudgy milk chocolate. Taste has fruity milk chocolate to start and a fudge milk chocolate milkshake.

Cask at GBBF ‘19, day 4, 09/08/19. Light black with a tan head. Nose is Sweet malts, chocolate, toffee. Taste comprises toffee melt, chocolate fudge, sweet malts, dried fruits, light roast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad.

Sample@GBBF2018, London, with the Malmö crew - pours black with a beige head. Sweet milky chocolate prominence, with some caramel and fudge sweetness, medium body, sweet dark chocolate laden malty close.

Very dark brown and opaque with thin soapy head. Aroma has some dark malts and lots of sweet toffee and chocolate. Flavour is similar but there's a background grassy element bringing it down. Lacks some body too.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Almost clear deep reddish brown beer, tidy tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet dry thin dark malts, sweet cocoa. Littte tangy dark fruits. Dry finish. Punchy flavour but thin and dry mouthfeel.
