Frankincensed isn’t a Xmas beer, it’s a big punchy IPA packed with juicy Citra hops, with some support from Chinook. Pilsner, wheat malt, flaked wheat and Vermont yeast produce an easy drinking backbone over which the hops are allowed to shine, before a smooth bitter finish.

440ml can from the brewery. Hazy orange-gold, small white head, some retention. Juicy aroma of citrus; melon, passionfruit, orange, some herbs. Taste starts with lovely juicy hops, however is in the main dominated by the wheat malts, yeast and dry bitter finish. Body and carbonation are very good. Its an acquired taste and reminds me a bit of Dhillon's Steam lager, just a hoppy nicer version.
