(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20181005) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, cocoa and vanilla. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, sweet and bitter. A pleasant burnt brew with vanilla notes. The high ABV was quite well hidden.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a quickly receding tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla and dark pit fruits. Flavors are heavy sweet molasses with some bitter roast. Slightly boozy finish.

Keg at CBC Islington, 12/09/18. Pitch black with a solid tan covering that dissipates to edgework. Nose is chocolate, light spice, molasses, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate, light roast, toffee, vanilla essence, booze tunes, light black peppery spice, toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced alcohol. Ok impy but struggled to pull out of third gear ... least favourite in the set.

Draft @ Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmö. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty vanilla chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate vanilla flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate vanilla finish.

Flaska från Glasbanken. Svart med tjock mörkbrun skumkrona. Förvånansvärt kärv och välrostad i både doft och smak med toner av kaffesump, espresso, mörk choklad, toffee, chark, marsipan, likörpralin, avkok från enbärsris, läder och tobak. Mycket av allt men fövånansvärt lite av just vanilj. Finns en ton där, men inte mycket.

Bottle. Black beer with a brown head. Rich caramel and light roast aroma. Rich caramel and vanilla flavor with toffee and light licorice. Medium-plus bodied. Rich caramel/toffee lingers with light licorice and vanilla.
