This easy drinking NW style sour ale was aged in rum barrels for 20 months with tangerine zest, then blended with our Apricot Ale. Sweet aromas of tangerine and rum are the first thing you notice as you draw your glass near. A quenching sweet citrus, then rum spice take turns dancing on your palate. Rich rum spice and warmth lead to a lingering sweet tangerine finish like warn sand. Most rum beers only go to 10, ours goes to 11!

2011 Project.

A- poured straight from the fridge and there was still an overflow when I removed the cork. It pours a hazy orange with a 4 finger head of foam, and once the foam settled down, I see some good lacing.

S- big notes of sour apricots, huge lemon peel, and a boozy aroma that must come from the rum barrel aging.

T- the fruit stands out...apricots on the sour side but not mouth puckering. Lemon peel is there but not as strong as in the aroma. Some notes of alcohol, I guess it’s the from the rum. I’m not a big fan of rum. This is very good though.

M- medium bodied, same for carbonation.

O- the second pour was much more manageable.
This is very good but, imho, not top notch like others from Cascade.

On tap at Cascade, pours a hazy dark golden / copper with a small white head. Aroma is very fruity, bringing out notes of tangerine, apricot and run, hinting at a high tartness. Flavour brings out loads of rum and loads of apricot, with a touch of tangerine. Quite sour with only a hint of acidity. The booze is quite prominent, finishing on notes of rum and spice. Excellent stuff.
