Tan color with a large foamy beige head. Toasty and sweetish with notes of caramel and faint fruit. Medium finish and body.

My can says 6.5%. It pours a kinda reddish brew, think red ale that is a little more red. Pop the lid and it overflows with foam. Smells like a malty and volatile sweet. Just got done patching the driveway so I hope this is pretty refreshing; here goes: First big swig reminds me of many red ales. Can't really find any spices in this, I was expecting some. Yea, its really just a stronger irish or UK read ale. Quite surprized. Leaves a malty even feeling on the palate after each swig. Not over the top in any aspect. I still can't get over the fact this is a winter warmer and its lacking those stupid holiday spices, I'm glad. Starting to get a tad of controlled candy sweetness in the middle. Doesn't get cloying, just malty close. Good level of carbonation. And yes, in the end, this turns out to be better than expect.

Pour is a clear tan with a large white head. Aroma is some earthy malt and some peanut butter. Flavor is more chewy earthy and roasted malt more peanut butter on the finish. I don't think that is what they were going for but that's what I'm picking up. Still a decent heavily malted English strong ale.
