Trockener, etwas metallischer Beginn. Geringe Herbe, muffig, wässrig. Kaum Nachgeschmack. 7/6/4/4/8/4

500 ml can from Total Wine - Daytona. Pours a hazy gold color with a bright white head and great retention. Good, scattered lacing. Standard pale malt aroma. Pretty standard pale lager flavor too. I don’t think I would have identified this as a Dortmunder beer. Just a good beer. Medium body. Medium carbonation. No bitterness. Prost!

From a 17 oz $3 can absconded from total wine, this stuff pours clear pale. Nose is off lager, perhaps a hint of mild farmy rotting corn if you really search for it in the olfactory. Not sure, maybe its just my majination, runnen way wit me. First taste its trying to be a sharp pils but never quite gets there. Its the impression of a straight macro american pale lager with a mild attempt at some pointed pils bitterness. Yet it remains quite friendly in a macro kind of way. Goes down pretty easy, and has a decent attitude about itself. In the middle this stuff is growing on me. Its smooth carbonation comes across as refreshing. Almost soothing in its own way. Towards the end, a little of that processed feel starts to creep in with that odd pils bitter bite. Almost gets annoying, but does not achieve total annoyance before the can comes to an end.
