Amber with a large foamy white head that left good lacing. Yeasty, perfumey and a bit vegetal. Medium finish and body.

Pop the lid for some foaming action out of the can. The eye is your typical clear off pale orangish with a slight brown tint colored fest beer. Nose is also your quintessential fest beer aroma; you know, some spicy wood with a little overripe fruit, bread, and toffee syrup hints. First taste is mildly tart compared to many well done festbiers, and I like that! Other than the tartness, you get mostly the things you find in a marzen; toffee malts, some hay grass, bread crust & a touch pepper. Good level of co2. Middle yields mild cereal with friendly hints of creamy & nutty notes. Not bad. Finishes with an enlightened easy to like nonbitter attitude. Yea, that civilized tartness, whether intentional or not, makes this one of the better fests I've had lately. Good job Pengy.
