Cheap can. Hazy orangish yellow brew. Quickly shrinking foamy head. Nose is pine tar sap, not much else; but just maybe, some tiny hints of fruit, I think. Taste is big ass bitter IPA. There is a good level of co2 in here that makes it almost acceptable on the taste buds, to the rookie lager lover. Yea, that cutting carbonation takes the edge off the otherwise nearly hurtful bitter hops. Whew. There is so much lasting bitterness after each big swig. I wish it had a little more of a higher ABV content to make me forget how bitter this stuff is. Hops, hops and more bitter hops; the whole purpose of these mouth coating IPA style beers. Oh my. Yes, the carbonation is what saves this from being a nasty nellie. That sizzling effect keeps my mind off how rude this stuff wants to be. With all this foaming carbonation in the mouth, this reminds me a lot of Great divide hot shot or ridgeline, remember those? Except for the high level of CO2. this stuff is your typical, terribly on style, IPA.
