You’ve heard the saying “Pick yourself up by the bootstraps”, right? How about the movie quote, “He strapped a cannon to Bootstrap’s bootstraps”? THAT’S RIGHT, we here at Little House brewed a beer to reference the old time adage AND Pirates of the Caribbean. (2003 Christina would be so proud.) The name for this beer is a reminder that you can pick yourself up and move on or drown in whatever is dragging you down.
…by the Bootstraps is our 2022 Pink Boots Collaboration Brew. This year, Christina and crew brewed a hoppy amber ale with Yakima Chief’s 5th annual Pink Boots Blend. The blend features Loral, Idaho Gem, Talus, Triumph, and HBC 630 hops lending a citrusy and berry kick in the mouth to this traditionally malty beer. Just what the pirate ordered… the beer… or maybe the kick in the face. We’re not here to judge you on your mutiny to NEIPAs or your techniques in your swashbuckling adventures at sea.
