3rd LCRBM. Sedate aroma with just a bit of citrus. Citric, somewhat yeasty flavor. The malty sweetness hides the alcohol. Not great but certainly drinkable.

"Helios Tripelbock", Flasche (33 cl) von Craftbeer-Dealer.com, dem Online-Shop von Schneider's Getränkemarkt. - Gelbbraun, gut trüb. - In der Nase prominent säuerlich-zitrusfruchtige Grapefruit, im Hintergrund schweres Karamelmalz. Die Säure ist so deutlich, daß ich anfangs eine Kontamination befürchtete, sehr zu Unrecht. - Antrunk breit hell- und leicht karamelmalzig mit wuchtiger Grapefruitbittere und unreifer Aprikose. Die massige Malzigkeit ist aufgelockert durch schwere obergärige Fruchtigkeit, was an einen Weizenbock erinnert (obwohl das Etikett nur Gerstenmalz aufführt). Ganz zarte modrig-holzige Noten. Wuchtige, aromatisch zitrusfruchtige Hopfenbittere. Mild rezent, ölig und alkoholisch schwer. Wuchtig zitrusbitterer Abgang. - Durch kernige Hopfung beeindruckendes, reiches aber etwas anstrengendes (da unrundes) Starkbier.

0.33 l bottle from ’CraftBeer-Dealer.com’, best before February 2017. Slight gusher! Hazy, golden amber with a large, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish-fruity, quite funky aroma of lemon, gooseberry, white grapes, sweat and urine. Sweetish-malty, a bit sourish, slightly funky and a bit fruity taste of caramel, honey, white grapes, gooseberry, lemon and some urine, followed by a rather long, medium grassy-bitter, moderately tart finish. Medium to full body, a bit astringent, slightly creamy and quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite tasty actually, expected the worst after the slight gusher and the sourish-funky aroma. Typical Braustelle stuff with an infection, but it’s not bad at all!

Dark blond with big, foaming head. Aroma has some wild, funky notes as does the flavour. Not sure if that’s intended. Later this really sweetens up with some apricot and orange.

330ml bottle. Hazy golden orange color with off white head. Malty, yeasty and light hoppy aroma, caramel, bready, fruity, spicy. Sweet and light acidic taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Hazy deep golden color with big dense head. Yeasty, fruity, very fruity, like jam. Good hints at a fruit tartness as well. Taste is spicy, honey, bitter, instant foam in the mouth, super-smooth texture, but the taste is a bit weak compared to the aroma. Very alcoholic, like many Tripels. Interesting aroma though.

Honigsüßer Geruch, fruchtige Schwere in der Nase. Der Antrunk ist fruchtig-süßlich. Im Hauptteil wird das Bier erst leicht scharf, dann mild süßlich fruchtig. Die Hefe erzeugt eine cremige Milde, die dem Ganzen Weiche verleiht. Der Nachgeschmack bleibt lange uf der Zunge. Fruchtige Süße, schwere, gelbe Früchte, sehr mild für die 9,5%. Eine ganz leichte Herbe ist im Nachgeschmack wahrnehmbar. Toll! 13/12/12/12
