Since “Willy” is so versatile and can be flavored with fruits and essences, we add a touch of vanilla extract to compliment the sweet nuttiness. Also good mixed with Captain Stout, a blend we call “The Captain and Vanil.”

Well skunked nose. Hazy golden, thin head. Grassy hay, Vanilla finish. Medium body, easy carbonation. I like Alpine, but I didn’t expect to like this.

Bottle: (5.5%) Clear gold with a small white head. Aroma of grain....vanilla. Taste is lightly sweet...barley and wheat malts, vanilla. A little dry grassiness... Much like a rather pleasant cream ale.

32oz growler from Norm’s pours a very hazy gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose has plenty of vanilla and cream soda, light herbs, some light grass, mild biscuit, a little bubblegum. Flavor is lightly sweet with honey, cream soda and vanilla, herbs too. Simple in terms of the flavor, but crazy drinkable.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a murky yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was yeast, phenol and a bit of vanilla. The flavor was malty with vanilla cream, yeast and a bit of phenol. Moderately long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Draft at alpine. Aroma of soft vanilla and wheat. Taste has sweet vanilla, wheat, subtle tart, caramel and cream. Like vanilla ice, nice.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 12/24/2016. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Good appearance. Aromas of vanilla, wheat, cracker, and biscuit; with lighter notes of lemon, apple, banana, clove, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of vanilla, bready malt, and light fruity/spicy yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big vanilla, wheat, cracker, and biscuit; with lighter notes of lemon, apple, banana, clove, and yeast earthiness. Light bitterness/yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of vanilla, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light banana/clove, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of vanilla, bready malt, and light fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a very good pale wheat ale. All around good robustness and balance of vanilla, bready malt, and light fruity/spicy yeast flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

bottle at AA. Nose is vanilla, wheat, candy. Hazy pale gold with lace. Thin, sweet, and fake vanilla candy tasting. This is gross.

The nose is artificial vanilla. The taste is sweet vanilla and a total mistake. Full body malt and horrible.

Decent light aroma lager type beer. Some vanilla and some light grain. Golden pour with ok head. Light crisp finish. Tap at Rustico.
