Pours deep brown into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to coat surface. Chocolate and cherry aromas. Watery with dark chocolate and cherry upfront turning to mocha in the medium length finish.

750 c&c from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with ruddy glints and a 4 finger creamy/foamy tan head. Aroma is cooking cherry over a little chocolate. Med body, maybe less. Flavor is sour cherry over a little chocolate and some dark malt. The cherries are the main thing here. Very nice.

Bottle sample @ VBPF ’13. BB 05/2016.

18/V/13 - 75cl bottle @ VBPF (Jette) - BB: n/a (2013-489) Thanks to Erwin for sharing today's beers!
Note: 3000 ratings!
Clear dark red brown beer, aery beige head, unstable, dissipates immediately. Aroma: sour cherries, speculoos, gingerbread (peperkoek), dried cranberries, red fruits, very spicy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sour start, cherries, sour berries, bitter hops, roasted malts, citrus, bubble gum. Aftertaste: pretty sour, coffee, bitter hops, lemony. Feels like a lot of different flavours all thrown together, but without the necessary balance or subtleties. Flavours are fighting each other, instead of blending together. Maybe if it ages a bit in the bottle, say a year or so, it'll be better?
