Cask at the Spread Eagle, Ipswich. Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a small white head. Aroma of fresh hop, fruity, caramel, floral notes. Medium/heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Full bodied, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Finish is bittersweet. Enjoyed this, one of Grain’s best.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 2/8/2016. Deep gold in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Grassy hops, biscuity malts, citrus fruits, a whiff of pine and lingering, dry, finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at the Plough, Norwich. It pours clear amber with a medium, foamy white head. The aroma is rich, sweet, juicy, resinous, marmalade, stewed orange and peach. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, orange marmalade, piney resin, alcohol hit, toffee, toasted grass and some spice. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty tasty old school cask IPA.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Clear gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth but has good fine carbonation. Very nice condition. Light clean malts, mildly sweet. Good fresh hops, a tongue tingling spice. Citric orange and orange peel that gets brighter. Light crisp finish. Super cask beer, clean hoppy and with good fiz!

Cask at the Plough, Norwich. Mid-gold, clear with a gentle white head adorning the top. Spruce, tropical fruit and a dash of astringency in the smell. Taste is ambrosial: bitter turning quickly to sweet and finishing a slightly sulfurous bittersweet finish. Tasty and unique. Worth seeking out.
