Very spicey aroma - pepper, primarily. Bread and floral hop as well. Not sure about clove. Ruby tinged dark brown color with a beige head that left a bit rapidly. Near medium body with medium carbonation. Flavor is spice and bready malt. Alcohol is detectable. Quite a bit of floral. It reminds of Anchorβs Christmas ale, but perhaps less intense. The finish is fairly dry, and the spices last. Hard to distinguish clove from pepper. Pretty good drink.
