MBCC. Black with a dark brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with lots of warming alcohol. Oily. 120517

MBCC as 2017 Sleeping Forever. Black with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, sweet, liquorice, caramel, wood, caramel and dark chocolate.

[5/12/17] Draught at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017. Yellow session. Black, tan head. Roast, licorice, chocolate, coffee, sweet, a bit bitter, a bit of alcohol, full-bodied.

Sampled at Ocelot’s 2nd anniversary party, pours a muddy black with a ring of white head. Nose has molasses, cherry, raisin, mild vinegar. Flavor has molasses, raisins, dried cherries, a lurking tartness. Full bodied, sticky finish.

Sample at MBCC 2017. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark malt, licorice, some dark bread and vanilla. Similar taste, also dark chocolate. The finish was sweet.

Nice brown slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry boozy, weeds, bark, minerals, oak, dark malts, dark sugar, sap, unripe banana, cocoa, grass, booze. Taste is slightly sweet mineraly, dark sugar, ashes, weeds, bark, oak, unripe banana, hay, cocoa, booze, roasted grain, caramel, dark fruits. Medium bitterness, slightly sweet and harsh burnt mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.
