Draft @ brew pub. Deep amber with thin white head showing decent retention. Nose is a pleasant mixture of oak, sugar and caramel. Brewer used English malts giving some toffee. The hops also have a English feel, very Earthy. Somewhat balanced. It’s a good brew if you like a English Ales. Nothing bad to report, I just need to be in the right mood to drink an English Ale.

Pours a burnished copper color with a minimal off white head that shows little retention or lace. Smells of earthy piney hops with a smattering of toffee and caramel. Sweet sticky malt aroma with just enough hops to keep it from cloying. Taste follows the smell really well and adds a bit of a buttery component as well as a bit of a mineral bite. Light to medium body, medium to high level of carbonation with a sticky bubbly mouthfeel. Decent English style brew.

growler-pours a rich tan head that laces and hazy amber color. Aroma is sweet medium malt, berries. Taste is medium malt-caramel, nutty, roasty, equal metallic/bitter/English hops-also some north west hops comes through. Doesn’t quite balance initially. About ½ way through the first one, became a nicer/better balanced EPA with some bitter/citrus hops. The finish is long with metallic English hops and dry. Occasional. OK carbonation.
