At the source: pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is spice and dark chocolate including some anise notes. Taste is OK... semisweet chocolate, light anise notes, other baking spices.

Draught @ Randolph beer, DUMBO, Brooklyn. Pours slightly hazy very dark brown with a tan head, lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, light dark fruit, spice, anise, cinnamon. Flavor is sweet and spicy, malt, carmael, chocolate, spice, cinnamon, anise. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet spicy finish. 260418
