Vanilla oatmeal stout - POD is a wonderfully approachable stout, we use oats to add a lovely smooth mouthfeel to this deep dark beer. Lovely coffee and chocolate notes come from the premium malted barley and a vanilla hit that melds beautifully with the chocolate profile at the base of this beer.

Lattina.

Can. black, large and quite lasting cream colourd head. Medium roasted aroma, slight coffee notes, hint of chocolate - all very faint. Medium bitterness, roasted. Aftertaste follows. Pretty straightforward stout. No vanilla presence, but nice and drinkable.

Black with thin creamy head. Quite bitter with a decent bite of grassy earthy hop. Smooth and creamy. Just a little vanilla sweetness

330ml can at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Dark brown and slightly translucent with a khaki ring of head. Lots of vanilla in the aroma, also lots of cola and some black grape. Intruiging... sweet taste, still more vanilla Coke with stone fruit character. Long, sweet finish. An odd beer, and one that doesn't do exactly what it says on the tin. Still, very drinkable.

330ml can. Poured a murky medium brown colour, with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is light roasty malt, chocolate, light lactose, vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a roasty, nutty, light liqourice, light sweet chocolate palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap at That Beer Place, Chester Well the nose is definitely vanilla – can smell from a mile off ! Pours sort of blackish with a small cream head and light carbonation. In the mouth vanilla dominates again, along with roasted malts and some bubblegum chewiness. A grasiny finish alleviates the vanilla. A nice session brew – nowhere near as bad as Fat Phil likes to make out !

Can @ home. Black with a beige head that doesn't last very long. Smells roasty, malts, slightly rusty, earthy. Tastes roasty, iron, rust, some coffee. I hate the metallic taste. Thin body, medium carbo.

Thuis uit een blikje. Bijna zwarte kleur, snel verdwijnend lichtbruin schuim. Aardige stout, maar de nasmaak is wat vlak, beetje waterig zelfs.
