Vanilla oatmeal stout - POD is a wonderfully approachable stout, we use oats to add a lovely smooth mouthfeel to this deep dark beer. Lovely coffee and chocolate notes come from the premium malted barley and a vanilla hit that melds beautifully with the chocolate profile at the base of this beer.

330ml can at a student flat in Leeds, bought at Piccadilly Tap. A tan coloured head with fine duration. Spotty lacing. Black body. O’ Boy like chocolate on the nose. The taste profile is dominated by vanilla chocolate offset by a roasted malty finish. Sweet, but quite alright. (03.07.2017).

Can at home in London - sourced from Clapton Craft. Pours deep brown with a sturdy, foamy beige head. Good roasty aroma, with subtle cocoa, burnt tobacco. Light sweet flavour with notes of ashy roast, scorched earth, some bittersweet chocolate. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Easy going finish, fairly restrained, with further roast, baking cocoa, ash, moderate earthy bitterness. Very drinkable.
