Bottle. Says it is the base Ale for a series. Murky brown with a thin head. Light tropical fruit aroma. Flavour is earth, fruit, malt, dry hop yeast finish.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [021016]
Amber, very murky, frothy white head, sandpit bottom of bottle
Aroma - Tropical fruits, citrus, sweet fruity malts, aroma far better than flavour
Taste of citrus fruits, bitter earthy yeast, some sweet fruity malts, bitter yeast. Flavour spoiled by the yeast
Palate - Medium body, powdery texture, rough mouthfeel, quite sweet malt, bitter hops and yeast. Finish of bitter yeast, bitter hops
Overall - Far far too much yeast in the bottle, not possible to pour keeping the yeast behind. Needs a re-rate when these problems have been sorted out. The rye ale was much nicer.
