Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [270516]
Very dark beer, beige bubbles on top
Aroma of roasted malts, soft coffee notes
Taste of roasted malts, slight dark fruits, hint of dark chocolate, the flavour that’s there is good but it’s just too weak
Palate - Very soft carb, thin body, soft sweet. Finish is slightly dry, soft roast, getting a hint of fruit
Overall - Would prefer this a bit stronger at 3.8% - 4%. Far too expensive for a 330 ml bottle.
