Dark caramel brown, clear, beige head, some lacing
Nose of caramel, toffee malts, some dark fruits, dab of spicy hops, heavy fruity caramel, slight sherry notes
Taste of caramel, toffee, soft spices, dab of liquorice, some fruity esters, touch of soft roasted malts, some earthy hop in there, rich malts
Palate - Soft carb, medium to full body, rather sweet, bit sticky, alcohol quite well hidden. Finish as main flavour, rich fruity caramel malts, some earthy hops, fruit cake, slightly dry
Overall - Rich malty old ale, quite heavy, one of the better beers from this brewery. Not bad at all.
