Cranberry Cider

Brackley is a blend of cranberry wine and a blend of three apples resulting in a crisp, strong apple cider. With a forward tang of cranberry and colour like summer sunsets this cider surprises. Our favourite part is the tannic, cranberry finish.

Cranberries are rich in vitamins and tart to taste. These power berries are and have been skillfully crafted into delicious foods and preserves by the Island’s original inhabitants, the Mi’kmaq. The Mi’kmaq people shared the uses of this special berry with newcomers to the Island. From one Island generation to another, recipes, applications, and practices evolved from this original contribution. By the 1800s, cranberry cultivation and harvesting became part of our Island way of life. Our Mi’kmaq, Acadian, Irish, English, Scottish people and many other Islanders celebrated this little berry and adapted it to their own cuisine. Celebrate this beautiful Island tradition and share your memories of picking cranberries on our beautiful Island. Originating with the Mi’kmaq people, we continue this tradition of sharing with you. – ANDREW SARK

Tap @ the cidery. No head. Color is pink. Aroma and taste are berries, apples, fruits and little acid. Nice sour finish.
