500ml bottle at home on 1st April 2016. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass pint tankard. Clear and clean golden body, the head a full white blanket of foam. Strange aroma and taste, Saison like farmyard esters and flavours: wasn’t expecting that. Some malty sweetness within the flavouring, honey like flavourings too. Not the best Grainstore beer for me by a long, long way.

Cask at the Draper’s Arms, Peterborough. Deep gold with a thin white head. Sweet caramel with just a smidgen of dusty dry leaves and a hint of bitterness. Really not much to it. Below par golden but drinkable.

Cask at the Bankers Draft, Bedford. A nice-looking beer: clear pale yellow with a head that is neither too tight nor too foamy. Tropical/lemon aroma with a hint of soap. Taste is better, bittersweet and slightly astringent with a dry almost woody finish. Light mouthfeel. Better than I expected.
