A refreshing, light golden brew, whose flavour is a complex blend of mellow malt sweetness finely balanced against a subtle floral aroma and smooth bitterness.

Light bronze. Mainly caramelly in the nose. Slightly fruity but keeping with the caramelly theme. Off-dry finish.

A true gold colour with a creamy. It’s fairly smooth although not high on flavour with a small malt-hop aroma and taste.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, London. Pours clear yellow with a bubby, white head. Wet hay and biscuity malts on the nose. Sweet flavor, more wet hay, a bit of corn, straw, light doughy biscuit, just the faintest hints of citrus tang. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish, bit more mild lemon citrus, hay and dough. Not bad, easy drinking beer.

Cask at the Dick Whittington Pub, Gloucester, 02-09-06. A beer that was really quite scrumptious until I tried Loz’s Bridge of Allan Raspberry Wheat beer and then decided I must have one of them. Back to the Grainstore, it poured a clear golden colour and was very sweet with a hop presence on the nose, which like some of the sweetness carried through into the taste, but also an underlying grapefruit flavour kept coming through. As mentioned this was very good but not as good as Loz’s Red Mist which was next up for me.
