From tap at The Hanging Bat, Edinburgh. I think it's the 2023 version... Roasted malt with molasses, dark chocolate, barrel notes, touch of tar, alcohol. Medium sweet taste, boozy, rather strong. Pretty big and sweet Stout.

Can at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, shortbread, peat smoke, berries, taste is dry, smoky, chocolate, toffee, fruity berries, a little thin for the abv, but pretty good.

Can thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of black olive, soy, liquorice, whisky. Taste adds some chocolate and coffee. Dried herbs. Interesting.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - jet black with a tan to fawn head, quite thin. Nose - coffee, chocolate, woody and whisky notes. Then it 'opens up' into black olive, liquorice, herbs and tapenade. Taste - sweet liquorice this time, treacle, dates, salt, soy sauce and dry herbs. Palate - medium to full bodied, boozy middle and finish. Woody generally. Overall - good stuff!
