Take a break from the Sturm und Drang of modern life, with this elegant, refreshing pilsner. Our brewers created Vunderbar! with both feet grounded in tradition, focusing on authentic German pilsner malt and spicy Czech Saaz hops. The result just might get you to shimmy into your favorite lederhosen, bust into a quick schuhplattler and loudly proclaim, “Das ist Vunderbar!”

Bottle at the Funky 6. Pours light gold with a modest, white head. Lovely, crisp malt aroma with some faint, grassy hops. Fairly sweet flavor with bread and a grassy bitterness. Light to medium in body with lively carbonation. Finishes very crisp, lightly dry and sweet. Very, very good. (3.9)
Bottle shared at Sander’s in NYC on a night of aggressive drinking. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a fine white head. Tangy white bread nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, a bit of faint hay, some dry white bread. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Somewhat dry on the finish with mild grainy malts, hay and straw. It’s an OK American-made lager. (3.5)
