The India Pale Ale of Spitsbergen is a strong and top-fermented beer, using predominantly pale malt. Like the first IPAs made for export to India in 1703, ours is packed with hops to get that fine bitterness to it.

Can, at Duggfrisk. An unclear orange colored beer with a dense, off-white to beige finger-thick head. Piney, grapefruity and lightly grassy aroma with bready malts. It has a decent bitterness, full body and a nice carbonation, perhaps a bit harsh hoppyness, with pine cones, grapefruit and bready pale malts. Bitter, grapefruity finish. A decent beer, but rather throwback-ish in style. 170818

Can courtesy of Rune, also making it the mostly northernly brewed beer I’ve ever had to date. Hazy golden-amber with a thin head. Has a full tropical fruit aroma and taste, fairly clean tasting too with a light citrus bitterness.
