Bottle from a trade with Grumbo, thanks! Aroma is roasted malt, creamy lactose, milk chocolate, with a slight touch of coffee and tobacco. Flavour is above moderate sweet with a pretty firm bitter finish. Body is slightly under medium. Nicely milky with chocolate and roast, pretty good.

Cask halfpint at the Argyll Arms. Black colour, minimal beige head. Nice aroma of chocolate, hints of mild coffee. Smooth mouthfeel. Smooth flavour too, some lactic sweetness, but not too much. Chocolate and mild coffee again, moderate hops in the finish.
