Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy orangey/plummy with a nice fluffy continental head. Nose - plenty of blackberry and raspberry in there, alright. Taste - yep, blackberry dominated, so much so that it may have overcome the tang in the saison yeast. Palate - light to medium bodied with a slight tang in the middle but really it’s dominated by a the fruit sweetness and the tang on the finish is missing a bit. Overall - there’s too much fresh fruit. A stupid thing to say, but I don’t think this is recognisable as a saison, which is a shame as a lot of effort has clearly gone into it. It’s still a good beer though.

EU local swap. Trockener, minimal säuerlich fruchtiger Start. Himbeere, steigende Herbe bei konstanter Fruchtigkeit. Zum Ende dunkler fruchtig, trocken, süffig. Nett. 10/9/11/11/10/11
