Cask (gravity) @ NBF 2016 [ The 41th. Nottingham Beer Festival (The 9th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival) ], Nottingham Castle, Friar Lane, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6EB. [ As All Day Norfolk Green Hop #8 Challenger ].Clear medium amber orange colour with a small, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, pale malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20161015] 6-2-6-3-12

Cask at the Kings Head, Norwich, 20/11/16. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is earthy fruit rinds, straw, twiggy aroma. Taste comprises bready malts, light fruit dusting, raisins, straw, grains. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Mediocre affair.
