A rich, imperial porter brewed with barley and wheat malt smoked over Beechwood.
Stronger than our flagship Railway Porter, London Smoke packs velvet smooth notes of bonfires, tobacco and dark chocolate. There’s a bitterness, too, and subtle, musty flavours of wood smoke, oak and vanilla.
Aromas of coffee, molasses and sherry on the nose, and an umami finish which lingers. Dark, decadent, and pretty damn delicious.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is sweet toffee caramel malt, roasty malt. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich sweet malt, fruity, dry spicy coffee palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Aug. 2016. black color, small coffee-colored head. smells earthy, smoke, light bacon, spices, some bitter chocolate, coffee. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, light smoke, bitter chocolate, some herbal hop bitterness, rather creamy, coffee. finishes lightly roasty / earthy and herbal bitter with notes of bitter chocolate and coffee. wow, lovely beer, feels a bit lighter than abv would suggest, great mouthfeel and drinkability. nice complexity. feels a bit black ipaish too. overall lovely beer.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Chocolately dark malty, nuttily and smoky aroma, hints of pecan, cocoa, a touch of liquorice. Taste is dry, woody, smoky, nuttily dark malty, notes of pecan, hints of cocoa, malt lozenge, a touch of liquorice, bitter hoppy overtones. Rich and complex, quite untypical (and btw not overly smoky) Rauchbier; but the logically consistent continuation of running through any classic style with excessive hopping that marks wide areas of todays craft beer scene.
