Bottle @sbwf15. Deep amber, thick white head. Smoke, mild soury notes, ashy notes. Pleasant smokiness. Flavor has mild smoke, grapefruit, , caramel and mild acidic notes. Excellent stuff.

Cask at the Clachan, Soho. It pours hazy golden with a small white head. The nose is pretty smokey, yet sweet, spice, decent hit of soft orange and apricot in the background. The taste is bitter, earthy black tea, smooth smoke, bergamot, waxy, orange, grapefruit rind, apricot, mango and a touch of pepper with a dry, earthy-smokey finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Works pretty well and is one of BTH’s beat beers of late.

Cask at the haymarket bar... Wow.. Soft tea.. Light smoke nose... This is lapsang tea.. All the tea and all the smoke.. I hate it.. As much as a tea lover hates that tea... But they have totally nailed it

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head and a slight haze. Nose - big bergamot note. Smoke faint. Taste - more bergamot but then fruit and eventually smoke overcomes it Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry finish. Overall - interesting and good. More interesting than good though.

Cask at the haymarket. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of smoke, quite strong. Faint orange underneath. Taste is more of the same. Mix of smoke and orange. Clashes slightly. Smoke wins on the finish.
