Tap at Fakin with Hrabren. Murky dark ruby-brown body, no head. Lovely dried fruit, dates, strawberries, malty notes, lean. Malt-driven taste, raisins, grapes, light barrel, some alcohol, sweetish. Nice overall, but not a stunner.

Bottle, 2016 edition. Thanks, Vran and Crni, for sharing. Murky amber colour, small off-white head. Malts - bready, lots of caramel, dried fruit, yeasty touch, light hops underneath, spicy, some alcohol. Sweet, metallic, spicy, alcohol present in the flavour, lost in the finish. Nice oxidation profile, slightly tart. Dry finish, some bitterness. Sticky, easy going for a 13%, medium body, soft texture. Nice twist from a sweet to a bitter profile. A smooth easy to drink barleywine that is better than you think!
