deep dark brown colour, one inch of dense beige head, which lasts for quite a few minutes; aroma of dark chocolate, dried plum, some coffee and minimal soy sauce notes; taste is basically the same with some liqueur notes...well, I tasted it right after an Alesmith Speedway stout variant (jamaica blue mountain coffee edition)...and I cannot say that it is much worse...I like it very much!

Borefts IX. Day 1. Keg. Very hazy amber brown beer, small tan head. Airy palate, semi dry and with decent fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little dry dark chocolate. Touches of roast malt and malt cream. Mild papery note. Tangy finish. Okay, comes over as a bit tired.

Bottle from from De Molen Brewery Beer Shop, Bodegraven. Consumed at home Friday 15th December 2017 whilst cooking a Chicken Balti from The Curry Guy cookbook. Soft in the mouth, really creamy mouthfeel. Mocha in the mouth a little praline, it's roasty (smooth roasty), chocolate (milk) but it is also hoppy, really smooth and very, very good.
