(473ml can from Mikkeller Webshop, as ’Birthday Berliner’) Pours a hazed orange-gold with a short lived white head that fades to nothing without lace. Aroma of nice ripe passion fruit, musky, orange and grapefruit peels, light yoghurty lactic tang. Flavour is more subdued passion fruit, a bit of wheat malt, orange, light lemon, a touch musky, lightly salty, lactic but only slightly tart. A touch of grain in the finish along with some musky passion fruit. Light body and somewhat sparkling carbonation. Solid, refreshing on a hot summer’s day, I’d love a bit more fruit in the mouth though.

From backlog. 473ml can from Mikkeller Beer Club. Tartish and slightly lactic with some sourness, passion fruit and wheaty yeastiness. Okay.

Can at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Pours hazy pale yellow. Aroma is passion fruit, tropical fruit, citric. Body is medium, strong fruit flavours, lightly salty and sour, quite sweet, but still rather dry. Lingering light acidity. Good!

13.04.2017, 1 pint can (as Birthday Berliner) @ home:
Big foamy mediumlasting head, hazy. Co2 instantly explodes in the nose in the same way as eating too much wasabi at once does, not really pleasant. Followed by passionfruit, minerals, passionfruit stones, grass, mango. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, grass, passionfruit stones, hay, minerals, salt, passionfruit, soda powder, sorrel, unripe tropical fruits, grain. Medium bitterness, slightly grainy and dry sour-ish mouthfeel. Fair enough.
