Sampled from tap at Borefts 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a white head. Sweetish, fruity-grassy and slightly resiny aroma of mango, passion fruit and some lemon. Quite sweet, malty, fruity-grassy and slightly resiny taste of mango, passion fruit, pineapple and some lemon, followed by a medium long, rather dry-bitter, grassy and slightly resiny finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Tap at Ape. Deep golden-orange with a thick, low head. Deep fruit nose, orange, mango, peaches. rich malt, great juicy fruits. Citrus, stone fruit flavor, a bit sweet and estery but not syrupy. Full and oily with a peppery finish.

Tap at Kamikaze. Ultra hazy honey gold with a big juicy hop Bouvet oozing tropical fruit goodness - mouthwatering. Medium bodied with a bit of a dry finish. It starts off juicy guava and mango then goes bitter and dry which makes sense as it is their mix of West Coast and New England style IPAs which I think they nailed. Damn good and a must try for hop heads.

Tap @ Keyaki Beer Festival Autumn 2017. Basically released during this festival. Pours darker orange, cloudy with some white foam skirmish on top. Aroma is quite usual Shiga Kogen, oily-herbal hops, grass, dense. Bitterness is quite strong in taste, also feels a bit boozy. I wonder if different kegs had different flavour profiles, a sip I had from a beer poured several hours later felt very much NE style, softer and juicier than the first half-pint I had, which was drier, grassier and felt boozier. In any case, another solid release from Shiga Kogen, beer not to be missed if you want to keep yourself up to date with best IPA's Japan has to offer.
