Draft, taster at Sierra Nevada - Mills River, 6/9/23. Murky golden-orange color with an off white head. Spice, pepper, and citrus zest. Grains. A little wet paper. Not bad, but not great either.

bottle, rated in early 2017 - Clear gold pour. It has a fruity, hop led aroma. The flavor is crisp and bitter with tasty citrus and other fruit notes. Good balance. Medium bodied. Very good.

Hackney Bottleshare. Thanks to Wingman. Light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, good fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, a light lager character. Crisp citric hop, little lemon and orange a trace of sherbet. Touch of grapefruit before a light and slightly tangy finish. Considering the DIPA hop onslaught before this beer, it's standing up well.

Bottle shared at Leighton's place. 06/09/2017. Many thanks to Wingamn dave for this one. A clear golden coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is crisp, cereal, plastic, apple, petrol. Flavour is composed of ceral, plastic, hint of honey. Palate is semi sweet, grassy, moderate carboanton.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, bottled on 12/15/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, melon, berry, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of earthy/spicy hops, pale malt, and light-moderate fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, melon, berry, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, melon, berry, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of earthy/spicy hops, pale malt, and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.1%. Overall this is a delicious English IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of earthy/spicy hops, pale malt, and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Nice showcase of German noble hops with restrained Kolsch yeast character; and nice bready malt backbone for balance. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Draught at KØ17. Fruity aroma. Clear golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is chalky. Does not have much hop flavour for an IPA.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the Empire Express. Pours clear yellow-gold with a foamy, white head. The aroma holds lightly toasted cereal grains, a little honey, citrus rind. Light sweet flavour with dry pale malts, grassy hops, lemon rind, light cereal grains. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Finishes with some more crunchy pale grains, grassy hops, citrus peel. A highly enjoyable brew.

Bottle at Rose and Thistle, Frimley. Musty floral herbal aroma. Light gold. Massive bubbly white head. Light bitterness. The hops do remind you that they are there but overall I’d say this takes on the Pilsner/Kölsch aspects. Light bodied. Verging on sticky. Soft carbonation. Low key finish. At first it didn’t overly impress me, however as I drank more it grew on me. Ended up drowning it pretty quickly. Just less hoppy than I was expecting. More of an ISL?
