pours very dark brown, settles black with a dark brown head. somewhat mild, but very rich aroma of bourbon, roasted malts, chocolate, fainter coconout. very well done, aroma is like a fine bourbon imp.stout with the vanilla, lactose etc. only adding subtle notes. still smells like a good old brutal imp stout. flavor is quite sweet, chocolate cake , licorice ice cream, vanilla, cacao powder, then aftertaste is roasted malty with notes of espresso and charred wood and perhaps bourbon barrel aged imp stout. yet another very good midnight snack beer.
