On tap at Carnival, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out rich roasted malt, some piney hops, and wood. Flavour is rich, with woody roasted malt, ample hops, and minimal booze that is well-hidden. Solid roast impie. Good stuff.

Keg at The Colmore; Jet is a new, jet black, thick adjunct free stout. It's an absolute beast, full of deep liquorice, chocolate and roasted coffee aromas. It's got a bitter backbone, but just enough to hold the sweetness and roastiness at bay. They had me at adjunct free

Can from the Black Toad. Appearance - jet black and a tan to fawn head. Nose - raisin and an edge of liquorice. Earthy and herbaceous. Taste - molasses and raisin side of an Impy. Savoury, almost olives or tapenade. Palate - medium to full bodied and chewy. Roasty, chewy finish. Overall - lovely stuff, a proper beer!

Can thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of molasses, dark chocolate, raisins. Taste is rich and thick, hints of tapenade. Fruity finish.
