fantastic very full bodied roasted malty aroma with hint of smoke and some sweet caramel, super nice aroma. flavor is roasted malts, smoked malts, milk caramel, more smoke in flavor than aroma, not sure the smoke really works well. charred wood smoke. pretty smooth for a smoked imp stout though.

Can from the brewery online shop. Appearance - jet black with a creamy tan to fawn head. Nose - burnt caramel and chewy chocolate. An edge of salt only. Taste - chewy salted caramel and burnt toffee. Dark chocolate backdrop. Palate - medium bodied and roasty dry finish. Overall - lovely stuff.

Can thanks to AshtonMcCobb. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of salted caramel and chocolate, faint coffee. Taste is more of the same. Sticky finish.

Can at James's. Pours black, nose is chocolate, salted caramel, treacle, taste is similar, bitter, roasted, earthy finish. Not too sweet.

Can, 11%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, toasted and cocoa. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, sweet, sticky, toasted, warming and a little bitter.
