Brimming with coffee and chocolate flavours, hints of liquorice and dark fruits. Brewed with Pale Ale, Brown, Double Roasted Crystal and Roasted malts and hopped with Phoenix and other British hops. A rich, smooth Stout named after the characterful, black-tarred fishing huts that line Southwold's harbour

From tap. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Roasted malty, breadish. Dark chocolate malty. Smooth roasted. Liqourice. Toasted and breadish. Smooth roasted and dark malty finish.

Tap @ Cockney Pub. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and light chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 220415

Tap@Charlies Bar, Copenhagen - pours dark brown to black with a tan head. Roasted malty aroma and taste, caramel, some vague chocolate and coffee, light body, pretty basic affair overall.

Keg at OX184. Pours dark red brown, thin tan head. Aromas of coffee, light earthy note. Taste is tarry, light coffee. Roasted bitter finish.
