Widely admired for its beautiful song, blackbirds often figure in the lists of many peoples’ favourite birds.
Blackbird Mellifluous Mild not just texture not just matches the blackbird’s plumage, but like a blackbird in full song, it flows mellifluously over the palate.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts, online. Pours a clear mahogany with small off white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malts, cocoa dusting, nuts. Taste of caramel, sweetness, drying nutty and cocoa finish, with a bitter light hoppy herbal element. Light bodied but not watery. Good mild.
