Thin beige head left a thick vivid orange body. Orange juice & saline aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth & almost chewy with a sharp sticky back. Orange juice, herbal, oat & bitter tastes with a sour salty finish. Unusual

Can that Jim shared - cheers! Jim is getting the BBNo monthly subscription and is generous about sharing it when I see him, so my BBNo ratings are starting to increase quite rapidly! This one has the appearance of gone-off orange juice - in fact Jim says he's been known to drink it during work Zoom meetings as from the looks no-one would ever guess it was actually beer! They've definitely nailed the Solero flavour here - full-on juicy tropical fruit, followed by the dryness you always get after sucking too hard on a Solero. Quite a bit of dryness in fact. The hose makes its presence known with a light sourness and some salt, which work really well in balancing the tropical sweetness. Some creaminess comes through in the finish - a successful attempt to replicate the ice cream inside a Solero. However, I never think creaminess works in a sour beer; whilst I appreciate the reason for it, I think this beer would be better without the cream. Nevertheless, BBNo have achieved what they set out to do here, and it's a fun, enjoyable beer to drink.
