A lovely beverage that I have shared with Mariela and Karina, perfect with a smooth green curry. This version is more fruity than the 2017. You get a perfect side of cherry and red fruits, smooth, dry malt, yeasty, hop, good job!!!!! 15.02.2022, at Epalinges.

From tap at Oersoep Craft Beer Festival 2018. Big puckering sourness with an aroma of malt, wood, notes of red wine, caramel, light funk, marmalade, vinegar, and apricot. Big dry sour finish, medium body. Another pretty brilliant Saint Bon-Chien.

Bottled (From Alko Web). Hazy deep amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, really tart, some wood and mild spiciness with some alcohol sweetness to it as well. Flavour is really alcoholic sweet meeting a super tart fruity and wooden touch, ending up being a nicely balanced thing. Somehow there's a slight vanillaish edge to it as well.

Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, berries, wood, raisins, tartness, dark cherries and bitterness. Aftertaste had wood, malts, tartness and bitterness. Delicious and complex brew.

hazy brown colour, minimal off-white lacing; aroma of unripe dark berries, acetone, acetic acidy, woody, red wine and sour cherry juice notes; taste is the same with citric notes and bitter aftertaste; excellent 'beer'

Bottle. Color: Reddish amber, no head. Aroma: Tart and sweetish dark red fruit, Balsamico vinegar, and caramel hints. Taste: Medium tart and moderate sweet grapes, red wine and oak wood, tannins. Wryly. Caramel and toffee hints. Moderate sweet. Some acidic vinegar notes. Dry-ish and astringent mouthfeel. Medium to over medium body. Very low carbonation, not disturbing in this case. Pretty complex, nicely balanced. Nice one.

Disparate transparent head over raspberry-red clear beer; end of bottle solid yeast. Sour, tart raspberries with a whiff of jam. Not very intense, though. Sour-sweet, tart, bit wry, like from grapekernels or cherrystones. Fresh fruit, intrinsically tart but enhanced by the tannines, getting a balsamico flavour. Despite all the acids and the dryness, there's a fatty, oily feel present - again the fruitkernels? - preventing the beer from feeling thinnish. A severe, this one... but the fruit is omnipotent.
