Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours dark brown with a thin, tight beige head. Aromas of raspberry and light chocolate. Taste has a hint of the barrel, lots of raspberry and creamy chocolate. Light sharp finish.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep brown to black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - mainly raspberry rather than any porter or stout aromas. Creamy chocolate does come through late. Taste - fresh raspberry and again with a creamy chocolate backdrop. Palate - creamy in texture. Tart and generally fresh finish. Close to bodied. Overall - very good.
