Our version of this classic style is a balanced but flavorful brew with a local twist. Radiant copper in hue, the addition of carefully selected, high quality imported speciality malts provides a crisp malt backbone with bready and caramel overtones, but a full pound and a half of hops per barrel—including an obscenely, irresponsibly large aromatic late dry hop addition during secondary fermentation—provides a good amount of balancing character and a gorgeous hop boutique with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, and mint. Pairs well with poultry, earthier and nuttier cheeses, and tangier, spicier cuisines.

1/4/2018. Bottle from BEEReaucracy, Davao. Pours unclear orange amber with a big fluffy off-white head. Aroma of hop, citrus, yeast, herb, malt, bread, biscuit and caramel. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium bodied, slight oily texture, above average carbonation. A little mint comes through in the finish. Quite enjoyable, apart from being a bit too carbonated.
